Santa Cruz Probation Internship Program

Work in the adult division, juvenile division, or the juvenile hall to gain practical experience in the criminal justice field working with other probation staff, partnering agencies, and clients.

You must be at least 18 years old, attend an intern orientation, be able to pass a background check, and finger printing is required. A minimum of three months is required with a weekly commitment of 8 - 10 hours.

Our next Intern Orientation will be held on February 3, 2025 from 10:30 - 12:00. You must attend an orientation as a requirement and part of the application process and please bring a photo ID. At the orientation, the program will be explained in depth, and you will be provided with applications. Please register by emailing Karla.Wade@santacruzcountyca.gov. Karla will respond to your email by confirming your registration and provide the exact location as well as instructions regarding the items you will need to bring with you.
