By June 2025, Probation will increase equitable access to visitation/family engagement for Hispanic/Latino youth by contracting with three Secure Youth Treatment Facilities in the Bay Area.

Identify up to three prospective host counties utilizing the Secure Youth Treatment Facility Inventory Maps. Communicate with potential host counties to inquire about Santa Cruz County youth being housed in their Secure Youth Treatment Facility. Identify a team of Santa Cruz County staff who will visit all perspective host probation counties and tour their facilities. Review observations from all Secure Youth Treatment Facility visits with recommendations on which host counties to begin contract negotiations.
